Operations Associate

Builder expectation

You will not only keep things running. You are expected to automate how they run: build AI workflows and agents that eliminate repetitive work, bring structure to messy problems, and own whatever the business needs next, from first question to finished outcome.

The role

You will be Bluefyn's first dedicated operations hire, working directly with the founders and getting exposure to almost every part of building a company: people, finance, compliance, tooling, and the daily work that keeps a startup moving. No two weeks look the same. This is a hands-on builder role, not a support-and-maintain position. As the company grows, you will grow with it, taking on more ownership with a clear path toward operations leadership.

What you'll do

• Automate the repetitive work. Build AI workflows, automations, and agents that eliminate manual processes across the company: reporting, meeting notes, document generation, data entry, scheduling, and follow-ups. Build, not just maintain.
• Keep the company running. Own day-to-day operations: tools and subscriptions, expense management with our external accountants, vendors and insurance, equipment, and the operational questions the team brings you.
• Run people operations. Deliver a great onboarding for every new joiner across our founding hires, support offboarding, and coordinate contracts and paperwork.
• Support the founders. Coordinate travel and calendars where it helps, prepare briefings and follow-ups, and take the recurring load off their plates so they can build, sell, and raise.
• Support compliance and diligence. Help prepare evidence for SOC 2 and security reviews, maintain operational documentation, and keep us ready for the due diligence questionnaires fintech customers send.
• Keep the company legible. Maintain internal documentation, databases, and playbooks so knowledge lives in tools rather than in heads.
• Bring the team together. Organise the offsites and team events that keep a distributed, stealth-mode team connected.
• Own whatever comes next. Startups move fast. Pick up the problem with no owner, bring structure to it, and drive it to done.

What we're looking for

• 1 to 3 years of operations experience. Business operations, people operations, executive support, or similar, ideally in a startup. We care more about potential and drive than a perfect CV.
• Hands-on AI workflow experience. You have built AI workflows, automations, or agents, and you constantly experiment with new AI tools. This is the requirement that matters most.
• Structure and precision. You love bringing structure to messy problems, you are organised and obsessed with details, and you can juggle multiple projects without dropping anything.
• A self-starter who learns fast. You figure things out independently, take ownership without being asked, and enjoy making things better.
• Clear written communication. Your updates and documentation are specific and actionable. People can act on what you write.
• Discretion and judgment. You will handle hiring, financial, and customer information inside a stealth fintech, and you treat that trust as part of the job.
• Startup operating range. You are comfortable in a fast-moving, venture-funded stealth startup with broad ownership and limited process.

Nice to have

• Fintech or compliance exposure. Payments, banking, audits, SOC 2, or vendor due diligence.
• Finance operations exposure. Expenses, invoicing, or bookkeeping with external accountants.
• Low-code and automation platforms. Experience with tools like n8n, Zapier, Make, Notion, or LLM APIs.
• Event organising. You have brought a distributed team together and made it look easy.
